In order to limit climatic stress and obtain wines with an organoleptic profile of excellence, in 2017 the winery built a highly water-efficient sub-irrigation system on approximately 30 hectares of land, which makes it possible to meet the needs of the plants, minimising the use of water with positive effects on the environment and the surrounding ecosystem. The work was partly financed with European funds under the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region’s Rural Development Programme (RDP 2014 – 2020) measure 4.1.2 (Efficient use of water on farms). In 2022, thanks to measure 4.1.5 (Improving the use and management of water resources by farms), the company implemented a new project on water saving in the field. The project carried out improved the efficiency of water use for irrigation purposes through the conversion of the farm irrigation system used on the land subject to the application for support, with the creation of a fixed system using sub-irrigation. The area affected by the improvement is 17.14.08 HA cadastral.
